Iran plan rejected
The Kabul Government rejects “totally and categorically” the peace plan for Afghanistan proposed by Iran last month, the Soviet news agency, Tass, has reported. The Iranian plan “is a flagrant and undisguised interference in the international affairs of Afghanis-’ tan,” an official in the Afghan Foreign Ministry told a news conference in Kabul. The Iranian plan calls for the withdrawal of Soviet troops who would be replaced with an Islamic peace-keeping force. — Moscow.
