NZPA-Reuter New Delhi The second seed, Michael Ferreira, of India, and Australia’s G. Ganim chalked up their • third straight wins when they beat their Sri Lankan opponents in the twenty-third world amateur billiards championship at New Delhi yesterday.
With three double-century and four century breaks, Ferreira demolished S. M. Shaharwardi. 2677-657, while Ganim edged past J. W. H. Boteju. 1296-1128. The top seed. Norman Dagley, of England, defeated A. K. Giles, of New Zealand. 1782-836.
