Victory to W. Indies
NZPA Adelaide The West Indies beat South Australia by 226 runs two minutes before tea on the final day of the match at Adelaide Oval yesterday. South Australia was set the impossible target of scoring 452 runs in 425 minutes after having been dismissed
for 79 in the first innings but again crashed to the West Indian speed to total 225 in the second innings. The West Indian giant, Joel Gamer, finished with five for 45 after having had 14 runs hit off him before he took his first wicket. The West Indies scored 294 and 236 for five declared.
