Five centuries scored
Five centuries were scored, two of them in one president's grade match, in Canterbury Cricket Association lower grade games on Saturday. David Murray was unbeaten on 109 when the Old Collegians A innings ended against the St Albans president’s team at Elmwood Park. But the former New Zealand representative, Noel McGregor, replied with 116 not out to guide St Albans to victory.
The other centuries were recorded by lan Colhoun (Sydenham, fourth grade), R. Tulloch Sichnical, fifth grade) and D. arteris (Old Boys A, eighth grade). Charteris and G. Armstrong, who made 81, shared a partnership of 171 in just 13 overs against Old Boys B. A St Bede’s College third grade player, R. Connell, had the best bowling analysis, eight for 71 against Papanui High School. Scores.—
