Chess headed for draw
NZPA-Reuter Merano, Italy Viktor Korchnoi yesterday sealed his forty-first move to adjourn the fifteenth game of his chess match with the champion, Anatoly Karpov, with experts agreeing that he could do no better than force a draw. “His winning chances are
ml." said a U.S. Grandmaster, Robert Burns, of Korchnoi’s game. The champion had carefully defused Korchnoi's moves and forced him repeatedly into a position which experts felt could only end in a draw. Karpov leads, 5-2. and needs only one more win to take the match.
