Timaru wool $1M up
PA Timaru The proceeds of the second Timaru wool sale of the season held at Invercargill on October 22 were more than $1 million higher than the total return from the 1980 October sale. Although there was an easing tendency on the market at the time, the sale was marked by a New Zealand record price for wool —591 c a kilogram for super fine merino grown in the Mackenzie Country.
