Stolen yacht
PA Auckland The yacht Solis was towed to Whitianga yesterday afternoon as conjecture continued as to how it came to be adrift abandoned in the Bay of Plenty. What happened ’on board the 10-metre sloop between 10 p.m. on Monday, when it was stolen from the Bay of Plenty Harbour Board slipway. and its discovery by the freighter Union Rotorua late on Tuesday, remains a mystery. The police in Tauranga said there were several possibilities.
