Values increase by $20 a head
Active buying power from several South Island areas ensured a strong store cattle sale at the Addington market yesterday. Values for yearlings and lighter adult cattle improved by at least $2O.
Obviously buyers were encouraged by the excellent spring which has promoted excellent grass growth in most areas. The -buying power at • yesterday's sale was stronger than in recent weeks especially for lighter cattle. The demand for cattle in forward condition was not as strong as during the last special store cattle sale. Values for these remained firm.
