Brighton Cup stake now $10,000
The stake for the New Brighton Cup, to be run at Addington Raceway on Saturday, November 5, has been increased by $lOOO to $lO,OOO.
The 3200 m race has until this season been a feature at the club’s February meeting. This season the Pan Am Mile will be run in February. The club has also brought its feature race for three-year-olds forward to the December meeting. It will now be known as the Placemakers’ Stakes, and as usual will be run over one mile for three-year-olds, with a stake of $6OOO. The club has .included five mobile-start races in its December programme.
