Van handed over
The keys to a 515,000 van will be 'presented to the South Island branch of the Muscular Dystrophy Association today. The van will be used by the association’s field officer to visit members throughout the South Island. It will also be used to take members to hospitals and doctors. The association received $lO,OOO from the Sutherland
Trust to buy the van. The Auckland branch of the association lent a further $5OOO. Although the association has had limited use of the van for a month, a representative of McLaren Motors will formally present the keys to the association at the Crippled Children Society’s rooms in Kilmarnock Street at 5 p.m.
