Air accident rate lower
PA Wellington The rate of accidents involving agricultural aircraft was lower last year than in any year since 1949, according to figures made public by the. Office of Air Accident’s Investigation.) The figures show that the rate which is based oh the number of accidents reported for every 10,000 hours flown by agricultural aircraft, was 1.58, the only time it has fallen below two in 30 years. In 1979 the figure was 2.3. The lowest previous figure was 2.1 in 1975.
