Antique arms titles
A North Island shooter scooped the major prizes in the New Zealand Antique Arms Association’s annual national black-powder shoot, held at the Army Range, at West Melton, during Labour Day week-end. A. Colville, of Wellington, won the major- event, the Graham King Shoot, in which competitors arc restricted to original muzzleloading rifles. He won the Mar-tini-Henry Shoot and the Snider Shoot also, to take the Burmeister Trophy and the Simpson Aggregate Belt. Two events went to local shooters; M. Voice, of Aylesbury, won the Open Muzzle-loading Rifle Shoot, and P. Hindmarsh, of Christchurch, won the Flintlock Shoot. Results: Flintlock Shoot (open to original or replica flintlock weapon): P.
