C.S.A. burgled

Burglars smashed the front window of the C.S.A. Gallery in Gloucester Street early on Sunday morning and stole $8260 of jewellery from display cases.

The office, at the gallery was also ransacked. The Beckenham Post Office, Colombo Street, was entered over the week-end when intruders broke into the rear of the building. An unsuccessful attempt was made to open the safe. Nothing was taken.

Burglars gained entry to Worcester Chambers on Saturday night by climbing a fire escape and smashing a window. The National Mutual Insurance office was searched but nothing was taken. The thieves then forced a door into the neighbouring premises of Accurate Time, Ltd. A brief-case of semi-precious rings valued at $l5OO was taken.
