28 V.D. cases
The Health Department reported 28 new cases of venereal disease referred to the Christchurch V.D. clinic in September.‘Suspected notifiable diseases recorded in the week ended October 17 included four cases of bacillary dysentery, and one case each of listeriosis, tuberculosis. and salmonella.
