I A joint feasibility study of the proposed city centre library car-parking building Should be undertaken with Farmers-Hay wrights, Ltd, the Christchurch City Council’s public utilities committee has said. : When the new library site ivas acquired, a car-parking agreement was negotiated between the City Council, the [ormer Haywrights, Ltd, and [he Christchurch Working Wen’s Club. : The parking building, in lhe library block, would ierve the three facilities and ilso be available to Town fall patrons. i Since the parking building rould occupy an area now ■ overed by the department tore, its construction deends on that store’s recontruction timetable. A feasibility study could e done by Warren and lahoney, architects, and ther consultants. At the end of the 1981 nancial year, the council's brary car-parking fund had credit of $621,791. ■
