Youth robs dairy in Linwood
A youth armed with what was believed to be a pistol robbed a Linwood dairy of a small amount of silver and copper coins last evening. The blond-haired youth, aged about 18, walked into the dairy at the corner of Worcester Street and Linwood Avenue about 6.20 p.m. He produced the weapon, pointed it at the woman behind the counter, and fled with change from the till. The getaway vehicle was a
small red car which had been parked around the corner. The woman in the dairy who was still being interviewed by detectives late last evening said that the robber was of average height, and was wearing grey overalls and a grey cap. The police last. evening appealed for information from the public who might have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area between 6.10 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.
