And God said unto me
NZPA-Reuter Chicago Jeffie Harvey says God told her to buy a lottery ticket when she went out to buy milk and diapers for her baby and lost her money. That ticket won her $1 million on the Arlington Million horse race on Monday. She drew the winning horse, John Henry in an Illinois State lottery on the $1 million race.
The 32-year-old Chicago housewife and mother of three says it was the first lottery ticket she ever bought. Mrs Harvey went shopping but lost her money on the way to the supermarket. Searching - through her pockets, she could only find a dollar.
Then she heard a voice telling her to buy a lottery ticket with the dollar.
“I was thinking, here lam with not even enough money for milk, but God told me to buy it,” Mrs Harvey told reporters. She says she will use some of the money for medical treatment for her impaired hearing. She has been partly deaf since she fell out of a tree when she was a little girl.
