Mail service resumed
The Canadian postal workers’ strike ended last week, and the airmail service to Canada was resumed this week. The Chief Postmaster in Christchurch (Mr D. Page) said that because of a substantial backlog from New Zealand and other countries, the service would not be back to normal for some time.
