The directors of Independent Broadcasting Company, Ltd, which runs Radio Waikato, announced an unaudited pre-tax profit for the half year ended July 31, of $52,427, compared with $62,096 last year. Provision for taxation is $26,865 ($30,272). They declare an unchanged interim dividend of eight per cent (4c per share) payable on October 20. The chairman (Mr B. J. Paterson) advised that after a poor first three months, the second quarter showed ah' improved trend to attain budget figures in the last month. It is j expected that this trend will continue during the next six riionths.
