A poster competition, run by the Native Forest Action Council as part of Conservation Week, was very popular. Many entries were sent in and the council was delighted with the response.
The winners will receive their prizes and awards at a special ceremony to be held at the Christchurch Town Hall on August 7. The results were:—
5 to 8 years: Lucy Fullerton 1, Megan Williams 2, Quinton O’Brian 3.
9 years: Glen Radcliffe 1, Ruth Kyle 2, Tracey Robinson 3.
10 years: David Wilier 1, Bridget Hill 2, Dahlyani Rawlings 3. 11 years: Grant Painter 1, Megan Bradley 2. Verna Choat 3.
12 and 13 years: Anna Parrfitt 1, Mark Pratt 2, Virginia Baker 3. Nancy Popplewell 3. 14 vears ano over: Angela Wyllie L Michelle McMaster?. Slogan prize: Chris Skinner 1, Glen Foley 2, Lucy Fullerton 3.
