Southbridge and Leeston had wins in the C.S.B. Trophy senior rugby A section of the Ellesmere Combined Sub-Union's competitions on Saturday. Results were:—
Senior A (C.S.B. Trophy).— Southbridge 6, Kirwee 0; Leeston 8, Lincoln 4. Pennant: Peninsula 4, Burnham 3; Sheffield 9, Darfield 4.
Senior B (C.S.B. Trophy).— Prebbleton 27, Irwell 10; Diamond Harbour 4. Dunsandel 0. pennant: West. Melton beat United by defeault; Lincoln a bye.
Senior reserve (C.S.B. Trophy).— Leeston beat Burnham by default: Darfield 7. Southbridge 6; Prebbleton a bye. Pennant: Midlands 41. Lincoln 0: Kirwee beat Selwyn by default; Springston a bye.
Under 21.— Division one: Banks Peninsula 19. Lincoln 0; Sheffield 8. Dunsandel 3. Division two: Darfield 13, Burnham 0; Kirwee a bye.
The J.A.B. finals of the C.S.B. pennants resulted:— Under 18: Waihora 17, Springston 10. Under 16. Springston 7, Lincoln 7. Under 14; Darfield 16, West Melton 8.
