’Bok visits to schools

The Minister of Education (Mr Wellington) has taken no action to discourage members of the touring Springboks from visiting New Zealand schools. He was replying to a question in Parliament.
Education boards and secondary school boards of governors were autonomous in their right to grant permission for individuals or groups to visit their schools. Mr Wellington said.
