N.Z. cricket panel
Noel McGregor, who has been a Canterbury selector for the last four seasons, has been elevated to the national panel by the New Zealand Cricket Council’s board of control.
He will replace the current international, Mark Burgess, who has stepped down from
the position. Mr McGregor will join Messrs Frank Cameron (convener, Otago), Don Neely (Wellington) and Graham Dowling (Canterbury) on the panel. Mr McGregor, who played 147
first-class matches, 89 for Otago, and 25 tests for New Zealand, was elected ahead of two other nominees.
