Bymai keen in Riccarton gallop

Bymai is back at Riccarton to be prepared for the Grand National Hurdles, a race he won for Brian Anderton’s Wingatui stable last August: He was showing the scars of injuries received from his fall in the Wellington Hurdles when he appeared on the tracks at Riccarton yesterday, but showed impressive keenness when he galloped on an inside grass. Bymai will have the Linwood Highweight tomorrow as a lead-up race to next Saturday’s Grand National Hurdles. Ali Robinson will ride Mr Stuart Sidey’s Sobig gelding in both races. The T.A.B. double on the second day of the meeting tomorrow will be on the Heathcote and Selwyn Handicaps. The T.A.B. treble will be on the Beaufort Steeplechase, and Selwyn Handicap, and the Woolston Handicap. There will be T.A.B. quinellas on the highweight, the Heathcote and the Woolston Handicap.
