Australia beats Fiji
NZPA Suva Australia wiped out the memory of its last match defeat with a convincing 4-1 win over Fiji in the World Cup clash at the National Stadium in Suva yesterday. Fiji had beaten Australia, 1-0, in 1977 when the two teams last met, but the Soc-
ceroos coach, Les Scheinflug, was determined there would be no repeat of that upset. The Victorian striker, Gary Cole, led the Australian attack in grabbing two goals and having a hand in the other two. corers.— Australia Cole (2), Barnes. Sharne; Fiji: Vuilabasa.
