An Air New Zealand DCIO which developed a “strange noise” on a flight from Christchurch to Brisbane yesterday was diverted i. to Auckland for an engineering check. ' ! 1 '■ i The problem was traced to
a broken air-conditioning duct. The fault was repaired in less than an hour and the aircraft left Auckland ,iwith its 263 passengers at' 2.13 p.m. The flight arrived at Brisbane about three .hours late.
