League test referees
NZPA ■ Sydney A Brisbane, referee, Eddie Ward, has been appointed to the first rugby league test between, New. Zealand and France at Auckland on Sunday. ’ Sydney’s controversial whistle-man, Greg Hartley,
has been appointed to the second test in Auckland, on June 21. The appointments are in line with an earlier agreement between the New Zealand and French Rugby leagues to have neutral referees control the tests.
