APPLICATIONS are invited from analytical chemists for j the position of Research Fellow in the Institute of Natural Resources. Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications. and have experience of a wide range of analytical methods including GLC, AAS and spectrophotometric techniques. Preference will be given to applicants who have! familiarity with analyses of materials such as soils, water, waste water, pesticides, crop nutrients, pharmaceuticals, and oils (vegetable and mineral). Industrial experience would also be relevant to the position. The Institute operates an analytical consulting service and undertakes specific research projects. The work will be generally nonroutine, and the ability to adapt methods and improvise, together with a sound practical knowledge of instrumentation will be an advantage. Capacity to organize technical staff is required. Liaison with Regional Governments and commercial organizations will be required, and some travel within the Region will be involved.
