PA’ Wellington The Royal Society of New Zealand has elected five new Fellows. They are; Dr I. A. M. Prior, of the Wellington Hospital Epidemiology. Unit, for his work on comparative susceptibility to. disease among Polynesians. Professor J. K. Syers, of Massey University’s soil science department, for the use of phosphatic fertilisers. Professor D. F. Walls, of the University of Waikato physics department, on the nature of light. Dr K. K. Pandey, of the Grasslands Division of the
Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Palmerston North, for hybridising normally incompatible plants. z . . Professor . A. D.
