PA Timaru The Mid-Canterbury bubble was burst by a rampant South Canterbury XV on Fraser Park yesterday when the home side won the annual Queen’s Birthday rugby clash. 25-3. This was the first win for the southern side over MidCanterbury since 1978 and it did it in grand style. South
Canterbury dominated eve. phase of play and the visitoi had no ball to play with am at no stage looked like being anything but an also-ran. Scorers.— South Canterbury: P. Morris (2) and M. Soper tries, T. Kelly two penalties, two conversions and a dropped goal: MidCanterbury: M. Holmes a penalty.
