Three husbands
Texas authorities are investigating the case of Barbara Anna Smith, aged 31, who in two months has married three men, the last two of them only eight days apart and in front of the same judge, apparently without benefit of divorce. The three men she has married are all citizens of African nations but Ms Smith says that none of them paid her to marry them or asked her to petition the Immigration and Naturalisation Service to grant them per-manent-resident status.— Houston.
