Election issues
Sir,—Why is it that when ever there is an election pending the public allows itself to be fooled by political redherrings? Last election year it was the abortion issue claiming our attention; this time we are being side-tracked by the Springbok tour dispute. Always this sort of thing is intended to keep our minds busy elsewhere and off the main issue.—Yours, etc.,
