N.Z.E. criticised
A group of eastern suburbs residents who are against the proposed power pylon line between Bromley and Marshland has issued a statement attacking New Zealand Electricity.
The group has formed an anti-pylon action committee and has released a statement criticising N.Z.E. for declining a request by the Christchurch City council to have a local resident sit in on the committee to consider submissions about the line and its route. "Our committee is far from satisfied at the N.Z.E. attitude to this matter.” said the statement. "The department has been completely lacking in information about the need for this line.”
