Charge of murder
RA Hamilton An unemployed Turangi man, aged 21, will be charged in the District Court at Hamilton today with murder. His arrest resulted from the death of a Turangi woman, Catherine May Ngatawi, aged 21, in the Waikato Hospital soon after 5 p.m. on Saturday. The woman had suffered head injuries in what the police described as an “incident” at the Tokanui marae, south of Te Awamutu. in the early hours of Saturday. The woman was taken to hospital and the police were brought into the inquiry after her death.
