Rugby tour goes ahead

1 NZPA London i ! Cardiff rugby club’s three- ! week tour of Zimbabwe will go ahead today as planned inspite of reports that three players, Gareth Davies, Terry Holmes and Alan Phil- • lips, would not be allowed in that country unless they signed an undertaking never to play in South Africa again. All three were there last

season on tour with the British Lions. The tour manager, Mr Malcolm Collins, said yesterday there was no question of the players giving such an undertaking: “If anything like that happens, we will turn round and come back,” he said. Each of the three players said they would not sign anyundertaking of that kind.
