Immunity lifted
NZPA-Reuter Madrid The Spanish Senate has voted by 82 to 68 to suspend the parliamentary immunity of a senator from the Basque Separatist Party, Herri Natasuna. so he could be tried by the Supreme Court for insults to the Government. The measure was taken over a 1979 article written in a Basque magazine by Senator Miguel Castells; Herri Natasuna is consid- i ered a political arm of the I military wing of the E.T.A. berty) an extremist group. In Barcelona, the discovery of a tunnel possibly linked with the bank siege has prompted press speculation that it was to be used for a bomb attack against King Juan Carlos, troops or spectators . during a parade on Sunday. Official sources said the short, apparently unfinished tunnel was dug from a room rented by the gunman.killed by policemen during the 37hbur siege of the Central Bank.
