100-over experiment
NZPA Swansea The Australian cricketers will experiment with the proposed 100-over a day rule in the match against Glamorgan starting at Swansea today. That is provided they get to step on to the field at Saint Helen’s which has been soaked by rain for the last few days. Lack of match practice is
now becoming a serious concern as the tourists try to prepare themselves to win back the Ashes. There has been only one full day’s cricket since they arrived in England and after this match, which looks destined for severe disruption, they have only one more three-day game, against Gloucestershire, before the first one-day international at Lord’s bn June 4,
