Lewis wins tournament
NZPA-Reuter Munich Chris Lewis, of New Zealand, won the International Bavarian tennis title, beating Christophe Roger-Vasselin, of France, 4-6, 6-2, 2-6. 6-1, 6-1, in an almost non-stop final yesterday. As both were in a hurry to
reach Paris for the French Open they barely paused between games — but the match still lasted more than three hours. Lewis began nervously but finally got his lethal forehand working frequently enough to run out a deserved winner.
