Healing bonus after record
The directors of Healing Industries, Ltd. are recommending a one-for-five bonus issue to shareholders after the bicycle and paint manufacturer earned a record profit in the year to March 31. The unaudited group net profit rose 11.9 per cent to $3,482,900 on sales 32.3 per cent higher at $36,866,982. In addition to the proposed bonus issue, the directors are recommending a final divi-
dend of 6.25 c a share. This increases the annual dividend rate from 10c to lie a share (22 per cent) on capital increased by the one-for-10 bonus issue last August. The shares arising from the proposed bonus will not rank for the final dividend. The tax provision rose $255,430 to $2,385,700. The final dividend is payable on August 26, ex dividend on August 10.
