Now for squash

Visitors to the Amuri skifields this winter can enjoy another form of recreation when they get back down the road to Hanmer Springs — that is if they have any energy left. Since the beginning of April campers and residents of the attractive little village have been able to play squash at a new $36,000 complex in the Mountain View Holiday Park. The complex, situated in

Bath Street, has one court (with room left to add another later), a viewing gallery, and adjoining recreation lounge. Previously, squash players in Hanmer Springs have been rather inconvenienced with the nearest court 85km away at Scargill. Now the village has the growing sport of squash tc add to its existing attractions of a ski-field, mineral pools and a golf course.
