Poppy sales in the Rented Services Association’s
Canterbury branch area have already reached a record $18,500, and money from half the area’s sub-branchcs has yet to come in. “I think we’ll hit $20,000,” said the association’s secre-tary-manager, Mr J. Green, yesterday. The previous record for the Canterbury branch was last year’s total of $15,460. The association's Canterbury branch covers the area bounded by Rakaia, Hanmer Springs, West Eyreton and Akaroa.
