Policeman beaten, robbed
PA Wellington An off-duty policeman was beaten about the head and then robbed by two men in an alleyway near the Perfumed Garden night club on Sunday. The officer is now’ in Wellington Hospital with severe concussion. a suspected broken nose, and facial lacerations. . His condition is not serious.
He was attacked after an argument in an alleyway off Vivian Street just before .1 a.m. on Sunday.
The police said he was attacked by two men then robbed of his wallet, money, a wrist watch, driver’s licence and bank book.
