Sunday trade sought
Four central Christchurch retailers made submissions to the Shop Trading Hours Commission (Mr P. Barber) yesterday in support of applications for Sunday trading. The retailers, all of which cater for the tourist industry, are Outbak Leatherware (C.M.L. Building, Colombo Street); Macalisters Apparel, Ltd (120 Gloucester Street); Warners Private Hotel, Ltd (Cathedral Square); and Naturally N.Z. Souvenirs, Ltd (Government Life Building, Cathedral Square), the applications were all opposed by
the Canterbury branch of the .Shop Employees Union. Decisions was reserved in each case.
