Youth club opening on Sunday
A multi-cultural youth club will-open in Linwood on Sunday. The club will be run by the Arohanui Christchurch Maori Cultural Society and will be housed in the society's centre on Ferry ROad. Mrs Ann Herons, member of Parliament for Lyttelton, will speak at the club’s opening at 2.30 p.rri. The club will meet each Sunday afternoon for daiicing, indoor bowls, table tennis, and pool. It is hoped to establish art and craft activities from various cultures. The society’s president (Mr M. K, Pahl) said that the society would fund the dub at first, but a small membership fee and daily fee might ’de charged.
