Hold-up items not found
The police have called off a search in the Springs Junction area for items allegedly connected to the armed holdup of a Christchurch bank last week. “The team failed to locate any of the items and there will be no more searches unless we receive further information,” said Detective Inspector N. J. Stokes yesterday.
The team of 17 uniformed police and C. 1.8. detectives were searching for a sum of money, a mask, shotgun, gloves, and a jacket.
