Fletcher shares in demand
A mystery buyer yesterdaybought more than 2.3 M Fletcher-Challenge 15 per cent specified preference shares on the Wellington Stock Exchange, at 109 c. The exchange confirmed the sale of 2,368,300 such shares but said it did not know who the buyer was. “This is confidential information and could not be revealed if we did know,” a spokesman for the exchange said. b
The most recent previous reported sale of FletcherChallenge’s 15 per cent specified preference shares was in Auckland, also today when 400 sold at 108 c.
