Professor Howard
Sir, — In my letter (May 8) I wrote that Professor Howard was reported as saying that most white lawyers came from a middle class background. This was an error on my part. The correction should read that most lawyers came from a white middle class background. I offer my apologies for any misunderstanding that may have been caused. — Yours, etc..
