Eastern Maori contest
PA Tauranga Mana Motuhake will contest the Eastern Maori seat in the General Election.
The party president, Mr Watui Rata."said in Auckland yesterday that nominations for the party condidate in this electorate would close on June 18.
The decision to file a candidate was made at a Mana Motuhake secretariat and policy council meeting held at Taupo during the weekend.
Mr Rata expects more than one nomination, in which case a seven-man committee would select the candidate. The committee would include six people from the Eastern Maori electorate council of the party and one : representative of the secre- • tariat and policy council.!
