Kennelly wins Kairaki run

Brian Kennelly (University) recorded the fastest time in the annual 20km handicap road race from Kairaki to Christchurch on Saturday, completing the course in 61min 525.

Kennelly was on a 41min handicap. He had the run of the race after >the back marker, Tony Good (Olympic, 42min) had pulled out about half-way because of the effects of influenza.
