College stands by ban
PA Wellington The St Patricks College Board of Governors has decided to stand by its decision to ban the Wellington representative rugby team from using its training facilities this year. The board instituted the ban because of its policy of
opposition to this year’s tour by the Springboks. The board’s chairman, Mr R. P. Vaughan, and the Mar-ist-St Pat’s Rugby Club chairman Mr John Knox, confirmed yesterday that the ban would be applied in spite of an appeal from the club for the board to revoke its decision.
